| Jeremy Bate is a new player and has only played two graded matches. In October Jeremy won against 1536 on board 5 for Cumnor 2. In November he won against 1581 on board 6 for Cumnor 2. In January the ECF graded Jeremy at 1912. Jeremy is certainly not playing at this level. This has caused us some problems with placing Jeremy fairly in the team, as I think hes playing between 1500 - 1550. We played Jeremy on board 3 in this match, expecting him to lose, which he did against Matt Hitchens 1839. Hopefully Jeremys grade will eventually find its correct level. Cumnor encountered a similar problem with another player some years ago. |
